Der Boden ist kompakter, von Kalk und Mineralstoffen durchzogener Lehm mit Kalkstein Untergrund.<\/h5>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h5><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">\u00a095\/100 <\/span>Vinous\/ Antonio Galloni: 2021 Elio Grasso Barolo Casa Mate<\/h5>\n<p>The 2022 Barolo Ginestra Casa Mat\u00e8 is terrific. Deeply pitched spice, menthol and pine overtones give the 2022 its characteristic balsamic notes. Pliant and deep, with stunning balance, the Casa Mat\u00e8 is without question one of the wines of the vintage. Polished, silky tannins and a burst of red-toned fruit punctuate the finish. This is sublime stuff.<\/p>\n<h5>This is a positively stellar set of wines from Elio Grasso. The 2022 Barolos are terrific. &#8220;The classic parameter we look at is time from budbreak to harvest,&#8221; Gianluca Grasso explained. &#8220;Ideally, we want to see a cycle of 210 days. In 2022, it was 190.&#8221; Grasso opted to keep the fruit as shaded as possible to extend the cycle.
